Request a Tungsten Carbide Quote

Use this form to send Extramet a sourcing request for tungsten carbide blanks, rods, punches, pins, custom carbide components, grinding, machining, or grade review. The most useful RFQs include a print or drawing, material grade, finished dimensions, tolerance, quantity, required finish, and timing.

  • For drawings: include finished dimensions, critical tolerances, edge/radius notes, surface finish, and any inspection requirements.
  • For grade help: share the wear mode, impact level, corrosion exposure, temperature, and the material the carbide will contact.
  • For grinding or machining: note whether you need centerless grinding, CNC cylindrical grinding, precision surface grinding, laser etching, or finished components.

Before submitting, you can review the tungsten carbide manufacturer RFQ checklist, the custom carbide blanks checklist, or the carbide grade selector wizard.

What Extramet Reviews Before Quoting

Our team reviews whether the request is best supported by stock carbide rod, custom blanks, a specific tungsten carbide grade, or a finished component with grinding and machining services. Clear application details help us quote the right material and avoid delays caused by missing tolerances or unclear starting-stock requirements.

Common quote paths include tungsten carbide blanks, tungsten carbide grades, tungsten carbide machining, centerless grinding, and CNC cylindrical grinding.

Common RFQ Examples

Extramet receives requests from buyers who know the exact carbide grade and from engineering teams that need help narrowing the material choice. If your print is incomplete, tell us what the part does, what failed before, and whether the priority is wear life, toughness, corrosion resistance, delivery timing, or finished tolerance.

  • Custom carbide blanks: send outside dimensions, grind allowance, finished tolerance, quantity, and whether the blank will be ground by Extramet or by your shop.
  • Carbide rods, pins, and punches: include diameter, length, chamfer or radius notes, straightness, surface finish, and the mating material or application.
  • Finished components: include the drawing revision, inspection notes, required finish, packaging requirements, and whether you need machining, centerless grinding, cylindrical grinding, or surface grinding.
